Overview

Kasey Xu is an undergraduate student at the University of Pennsylvania studying Biology with minors in Chemistry and Asian American Studies. Through the Haumana O’ Pasifika Program, her research focuses on using partitioned polygenic risk scores to investigate biological subtypes of Type 2 Diabetes in NHPI populations. She is pursuing a career in medicine and is passionate about advancing equitable healthcare for underserved communities. Outside of academics, she enjoys playing basketball, running, listening to music, and spending time in nature.
