Travis is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Nephrology, and a recent addition to the Pezzolesi Lab. He is also supported by a Cardiovascular T32 training grant through the University of Utah’s CVRTI. He earned his Ph.D. in Human Genetics from the University of Utah, where his research focused on characterizing genetic modifiers in the rare disorder NGLY1 deficiency. His current work applies computational and statistical genomics to investigate how genetic variation contributes to the disproportionate burden of cardiovascular, metabolic, and kidney diseases in Pacific Islander populations. Outside of the lab, Travis enjoys spending time with his wife and four children.
